"XOXOX" ~ Lippstick

Lippstick, recorded a CD of original songs before joining the Shirley's Temple lineup. Recorded at The Saltmine in Mesa, Arizona, "Here I Am" is a collection of beautiful, melodic songs written and performed by Lippstick. Shirley's Temple's very own singer and guitar player, Stephanie, also contributed to the album. Stephanie played bass guitar, drums, keyboards, added backup vocals, co-engineered the album (along with Mark Matson) and even wrote one song ("Whisper To Me"). Soaring vocals, colorful lyrics, and catchy melodies show off Lippstick's outstanding talent. This CD is a true gem!

How long have you been playing?
Acoustic guitar for about 25 years. Electric guitar for 7 years.

Influences (musical and/or otherwise)?
My mom inspired me to start playing guitar...she always played for me when I was little. She bought me a ukelele when I was 3, which I played until my hands were big enough to play the guitar (about 10 years old). Our own "Stephanie Foxx", whom I've known since 1989, helped me to believe in myself musically. In 1996, she encouraged me to record my own album and in 1997, she encouraged me to learn electric guitar to try out for Shirley's Temple.

Favorite artists/bands: Amy Grant, Garbage, Sheryl Crow, No Doubt, Chicago, Foo Fighters, U2

What do you like most about being in Shirley's Temple?
I love music and I love being part of a team. I really enjoy the people in the band and I love to see people enjoying what we're doing.

What do you see in the future for Shirley's Temple?
We're moving towards writing some original stuff....we've got a lot of good ideas floating around between the 3 of us.

Hobbies: Working as a Lab Manager during the day.

Pets: Two dogs.....Allie and Taylor
